Prodigy concert @Vega Copenhagen, DK
Yo! What a blast.. i was bit sceptic about this event tonight because of several reasons, first of all my last prodigy concert was bit of a dissapointing (back in ..let me think... 98/99?) and secondly cause of my visit at the dentist today. Ouch! But that is another story.. anyways.. i was happy cause the show was great and my tooth didnt hurted me.I am still not sure if the concert was sold out or not but i heard somebody mentioning that they sold 1500 tickets which could be easily true as the venue was pretty much packed but still some dancing space... well actually more of a headbanger ball then of dancing, which was also fine like that. The crowd went berzerk when they showed up, after a nice warmup from some DJ who was already spinning some Breakbeat as its best. Already there i was suprised of the people... both old and young, hippies and rockers/wanna-be-punks besides eachother shaking there different body parts. Wonder where these people normally are when there is need for them.. ah, anyways.. so skip the warmup (which wasnt that warm actually) and come to the major event. I will post some pictures later as Henrik (who joined me) took some crappy ones with his Mobilphone.
They started slowly with less known tracks but then pretty soon came on with No good and hits like Breathe, Out of Space, Poison (everybody dancing and screaming! Really cool), Diesel, Fuel my fire, Voodoo People (Killa version remixed by Pendulum!!! Get it as long as you can) , Firestarter and Smack my Bitch up.. of course they played more but i cant remember all the titles to be honest.. i havent been listening to their songs for some time but i will for sure the the new album (The Prodigy - Their Law: The Singles 1990-2005) but i think they played all the songs and it was really with good energy, so much energy that i think there wasnt anybody in the club who didnt had a wet shirt! So that was the gym visit of the day :) I can just recommand to visit their show. Good vibes, even if Keith Flint isnt that extreme anymore as he was and not dancing that wild as he did in the old days.. actually i was always wondering why there was a need for him in the Band. He isnt really doing anything anyways.. maybe singing in two songs (in total? Bad statistic dude) .. Liam was more or less invisible during the entire show.. waving good bye at the end to the audience but otherwise behind his decks and lot of fog.
So, was mentioned.. i post pics as soon as i have some :)
