WOW! Thanks for an amazing weekend at the International BotY 2005

Sooo.. i am back from Braunschweig, Germany. It was a fantastic weekend and i had a lot of fun there. Very tired as i didnt get too much sleep the last days but it was worth it and i am very happy that i made this spontanious deceision to go there. I had the chance to see some of the best breakers in the world and the shows were at a incredible high standard. I made some nice pictures and small videos clips which i will post later this week.

Friday morning i started at home restless to go as i was too early up and ready to leave so i left the appartment way too early for the meetup place. Bought my ticket and already get to talk with some of the others leaving from here. Already there i felt quite old.. the only person who was older then me was the organizer (Kenneth Fogel) :)
The bus trip was nice in the start.. i was sitting for myself and as i didnt knew anybody i read a book (which i cant recommand, so i wont mention it further). On the fairy to germany i got to talk to the guy (Daniel, bboy name Mahout) sitting behind me, who was from norway but living here in Copenhagen for some time, thou leaving again in december. So i had a nice chat partner for the rest of the trip and he was amazed of me going and not being into the scene as he is both into HipHop (which seems a must if you do this - well, i "break" the rulz Hahahahaha) and dancing for 6 years now - he is good btw. I saw him dancing on the warmup party friday night.
In Lübeck we picked up at the Airport the rest of the people from Sweden (we were traveling in 3 Busses with people from Norway, Sweden and Denmark) and had therefor do some rotation in the busses as we had different Hotels. In the start i were sitting in the same bus with Natural Effects but they travelled on in the VIP Bus (it was a lot better then the one we had afterwards). From Lübeck Airport we drove the must idiotic way to Braunschweig and therefor it took endless untill we finally arrived around 9 o´clock in the evening at the Hotel. Quick check-in and then leaving for the venue, with a stop for some dinner first.

The WarmUp party was pretty nice and there was already heavy dancing going on, the club was very big and good too! Okay the music was as expected.. but that wasnt anyways my priority to go there. So i enjoyed the show(s) and took some pics/clips and talked to some people from all around. Leaving the Party around 3 and getting some chocolate for the night from the Central Station on the way back. Back in the Hotel i continued to read my stupid book and fall asleep around 4 o´clock.

Next day, got up early to get some breakfast and there got to talk with the other danes who i was traveling with. We agreed that we will check out the town together, havent been there before - but its not worth a visit, which was great as we had a lot of fun. Went to HipHop-Market were i bought a sweatshirt and a DVD. Afterwards getting lunch and then back to the Hotel to warm up in the Room besides mine with some drinks and crappy music (of course only my opinion, but it kept it for me - didnt wanted to offend my new friends so early *evilgrin*). So between 16-17 we left the Hotel to head the Volkswagenhalle which was pretty impressive! Very nice place and very well organized event i have to say.. after passing the security who didnt complained at all, me taking my cam with me (thankfully!) . Inside, we ran into the Marketplace selling DVDs, Hats and other equipment for breakers and HipHop youngsters and then got some seats for the event. And we had pretty good ones i have to say, only probly was maybe that we were pretty far away but at least a good view and not standing all the time .. even thou the seats werent very comfortable after some hours.

Well.. i think the detailed review of the main event i post tomorrow or the says when i get my pictures online.. but it was great! Really really worth it.. most amazing shows i have seen. My personal dissapointment was maybe that France (no. 4) didnt took the price.. Korea's Gamblerz and last years winner got number 3, Japan's Ichigeki number 2 and again Korea's Last for One got number one. I must say that they were all great! But.. more of this later :)

Aterwards we went back to the hotel and had some privat party in one of the rooms untill we decided to visit the after party. I was starving at that time so i HAD to get some food, as there were no Kebap shop on the way i had to go to Subways again (already been there the day before.. but it was fine cause they are good). With new energy heading to the afterparty in the Toxic with all the b-boys i got to know that we could get in for free with showing our ticket - which i of course left at the Hotel. So i got back to the Hotel and then back to the Toxic again.. thankfully i was not alone with this stupid walk back and forth as one of the girls joined me who had the same problem.. i am bit ashamed as i forgot her name. Hmm.. she was very nice (they all were!). However.. shortly after getting to the club, the others announced that they are leaving as they are tired.. so i didnt had that much of being there. So we got home, again sitting in one of the rooms chatting and then to bed.. i think it was around 5 o'clock now and we aranged to meet up 9:15 for breakfast. So not much sleep again...

.. i couldnt wake up as my stupid alarm didnt woke me up so in panic i got up 10:20 and realized that i had 10 Minutes to pack my stuff and check out as the Bus will leave 11:00 SHARP! So i felt bit shitty and thankfully i had an apple with me otherwise i wouldnt have had any breakfast this morning. On the way home we stopped somewhere at a roadhouse and i got a sandwich and a coffee. In the fary i had another coffee (not helping) with some cake .. and done some shopping in the duty free. Durring the trip we were watching some great Breakdance DVDs ..but i must admit that after x-hours of watching it got bit too much and i was pretty tired but i couldnt sleep in the bus so.. i was watching anyways. We arrived safely here in Copenhagen Sydhavn at 18:30 and i think i was at home around 19:00... unpacking and having a shower.

Yeah.. so that was it. Lot of fun and i have to thank everybody i got to know (the funny norwegian breakers and the danish crew), i hope to be there next year again and then being able to going into the circle :)

Ready for the Int. BOTY 05!

Yes yes... the time has come. Tomorrow morning i will be headding germany for some serious breakdance battles, the international battle of the year 2005 and i can tell you that i am deepily looking forwar to this madness :) out of the blue i got the idea that i have to go there and when i got green lights from both work and the organizer Alex (who for sure put some effort in getting people collected from entire scandinavia to get their lazy asses up and present the northern countries at this outstanding event, BIGUP!) . Dunno if i can make some pictures as they do not allow cams (course not - they want to sell the DVDs! Its all about money :)) , anyhow if i will.. i hope to post some pictures here or at my site. Sure worth to watch!

Soo.. more when i am back on sunday or latest monday. Btw.. i guess i wont be able to catch, as my stupid mobile company do not permit calls/textings while i am abroad. So just for your info.. do not be angry if you first get replies on sunday.

Prodigy concert @Vega Copenhagen, DK

Yo! What a blast.. i was bit sceptic about this event tonight because of several reasons, first of all my last prodigy concert was bit of a dissapointing (back in ..let me think... 98/99?) and secondly cause of my visit at the dentist today. Ouch! But that is another story.. anyways.. i was happy cause the show was great and my tooth didnt hurted me.

I am still not sure if the concert was sold out or not but i heard somebody mentioning that they sold 1500 tickets which could be easily true as the venue was pretty much packed but still some dancing space... well actually more of a headbanger ball then of dancing, which was also fine like that. The crowd went berzerk when they showed up, after a nice warmup from some DJ who was already spinning some Breakbeat as its best. Already there i was suprised of the people... both old and young, hippies and rockers/wanna-be-punks besides eachother shaking there different body parts. Wonder where these people normally are when there is need for them.. ah, anyways.. so skip the warmup (which wasnt that warm actually) and come to the major event. I will post some pictures later as Henrik (who joined me) took some crappy ones with his Mobilphone.

They started slowly with less known tracks but then pretty soon came on with No good and hits like Breathe, Out of Space, Poison (everybody dancing and screaming! Really cool), Diesel, Fuel my fire, Voodoo People (Killa version remixed by Pendulum!!! Get it as long as you can) , Firestarter and Smack my Bitch up.. of course they played more but i cant remember all the titles to be honest.. i havent been listening to their songs for some time but i will for sure the the new album (The Prodigy - Their Law: The Singles 1990-2005) but i think they played all the songs and it was really with good energy, so much energy that i think there wasnt anybody in the club who didnt had a wet shirt! So that was the gym visit of the day :) I can just recommand to visit their show. Good vibes, even if Keith Flint isnt that extreme anymore as he was and not dancing that wild as he did in the old days.. actually i was always wondering why there was a need for him in the Band. He isnt really doing anything anyways.. maybe singing in two songs (in total? Bad statistic dude) .. Liam was more or less invisible during the entire show.. waving good bye at the end to the audience but otherwise behind his decks and lot of fog.

So, was mentioned.. i post pics as soon as i have some :)

First Entry - here we go!

Yo!
So this is my first Blog entry... after long long consideration and bit of research i figured out to start my own. I guess i might loose interest in it soon again, as usual - lazy me - but its a good way to keep some content on my website which i otherwise never will update :) still working on the upload of all the pictures. Damn it.

So the language will probably be a mixture of danish, english, german and hungarian.. if i wont learn any new lanuages inbetween (dutch, french and spanish in the draft.. but again.. i am too lazy!).
